Parents Organization
The purpose of the Parents Organization (PO) is to promote the school through organized efforts and activities of the parent body. An executive committee consisting of officers and committee chairs organizes fundraisers and special events with the help of other parents that span all grades. The PO helps facilitate communication between parents, faculty and Board of Trustees in collaboration with grade parents and representatives from the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools.
The PO welcomes and encourages all parents to participate as the strength of our school community is built from the participation of all its members. Monthly meetings are held during the school year (September through May) on the first Wednesday of each month at 9am via Zoom.
There are a variety of opportunities for all parents to become involved in the PO. Special events include but are not limited to Grandparents Day, Fall Festival, Buddy Lunch and Teacher Appreciation Week.
Gift wrap sales, rebate programs, and other fundraisers are conducted to benefit and enhance Rocky Mount Academy. Funds raised go toward teacher and staff appreciation activities and special projects identified by school leadership.
