WELCOME

You probably have lots of questions about how a student gets into Rocky Mount Academy. As an independent school, we take applications to attend RMA. Then we go through a process that helps us to know the candidate better and know whether he or she could succeed academically and flourish personally at RMA.

Each year, we talk to numerous parents who are interested in their children being educated in a school designed for college-bound students; a place where they will be challenged and encouraged to become independent learners and good citizens.
Enjoy discovering Rocky Mount Academy through this website. We hope to hear from you soon.

We love to have visitors tour the school! Please call to set up a  tour.

RMA families say it best …

"First and foremost, the sense of community. We never have to worry about how our kids will be treated by faculty, staff or older students. Respect for others is obvious. I've never walked into a school and had such positive feelings around. All the tangibles create a wonderful intangible."

"We can tell that RMA is educating, not just our daughter's mind, but her character as well. She is growing as a "whole person"."

"Academically, the curriculum coupled with the technology, far exceeds what is available in the immediate area. The availability of AP courses and individualized attention will well prepare my child to make a smooth transition to college upon graduation."

"RMA is not just a school...it's a family, where people know you by name."
