Thanksgiving
Our PreK'ers learned about the customs of the Haliwa-Saponi tribe in nearby Hollister from Ms. Cheek, a PK assistant who is also a member of the tribe. She brought regalia for little girls and performed a shawl dance.
Our First Grade put on a play about Squanto the Indian who befriended the Pilgrims. Then our little Pilgrims and Indians sat down for a Thanksgiving feast.
Our Third Graders had a feast fit for a Pilgrim!
