PARENTS ORGANIZATION The
Parents Organization needs your help and support!
Attached is a list of committees and projects that we plan to provide
at RMA this year. Please read
over the list and if interested, complete the sign up
form.
You may return the form to your child’s teacher, place it in the
Parents Organization mail box located in the office or just send an e-mail to
parents@rmacademy.com. Once you
have signed up for a committee, you will receive a phone call from the
committee chairperson. Thank

Name: Auction Description:
RMA’s annual benefit auction is extremely important to the well being
of the school. The funds raised
are used in the operating budget of the school.
This is a very large committee, and involves acquisitions, silent
auction, decorations, invitations, appreciation, finance, food and promotions.
Description:
The booster club supports the Varsity and Junior Varsity athletic
programs. The club provides
trophies, certificates, letter jackets, the End of Year Banquet and the All
Sports Book that recaps the athletic year in pictures.
The club raises money in a variety of ways.
Description:
At the beginning of each school year, each older student is paired with
a younger student “buddy”. The
Buddy Activities committee organizes buddy activities on the first day of
school and throughout the year.
Description:
This committee is responsible for keeping the information board in
front of the school up-to-date.
Description:
Fall Festival is a fun, school-wide event held in October.
This year’s festival will be held on October 12th.
Every class at RMA is involved in this activity.
The sub-committees include games, ticket sales, prizes, set-up and
clean-up.
Description:
The hospitality committee assists with the Spring and Holiday Concert,
and open houses. This committee
provides refreshments and other needed items at these events.

Name: Parent to Parent Description:
This committee welcomes and serves as buddies to new parents.
This committee coordinates the new parent events (coffees, socials,
etc.). The committee also assists
in arranging for a social in each grade for new and returning parents.
Members of this commit also serve as volunteers that new parents can
call with questions.
Description:
This committee will coordinate and publicize the various school rebate
programs including, but not limited to, Harris Teeter, Box Tops, etc. Committee
Name: Jaxco Industries (Gift Wrap
Fundraiser) Description:
This committee will organize and coordinate the Jaxco Industries Gift
Wrapping sale. Members will assist
with tallying the sales, sorting and distributing orders when they arrive in
November.
Description:
Volunteers are needed to assist in the selling school store items
throughout the year. Committee
Name: Teacher Appreciation Description:
This committee will provide several luncheons for the faculty and staff during
the year and provide appreciation gifts (i.e. Christmas gift). Committee
Name: Field Day Description:
This committee prepares and distributes the ribbons and runs the concession
booth during Field Day in May. Room

Communicate key information and
activities to parents throughout the year -
Solicit help for all class
parties. Courtesy calls to parents
to remind them of which parties they are in charge of. -
Organize teacher appreciation
activities upon direction from Teacher Appreciation committee. -
