ensure that none of the excitement is missed. Every year our seniors are
surveyed about what they like best about RMA. The answer is always the same:
the faculty. That's because RMA faculty care about our students. Not just
about their grades or behavior, but about their well-being. Small classes
allow our faculty to really get to know their students. They help them capitalize
on their strengths and improve on their weaknesses. They have the freedom
to teach in the best possible way to challenge our students to speak up,
to take risks, to lead and to succeed. As lifelong learners, faculty members
guide our students as they learn, grow and make discoveries for themselves
along the road to becoming lifelong learners as well. The faculty believe small classes provide the optimum teaching opportunities. In the classroom they:
Help When You Need It Our teachers are often found in their rooms before the school day begins and often stay beyond the end of the day to help students, talk with parents and plan lessons. Outside of the classroom, each upper school student meets regularly with a faculty advisor who assists the student in a variety of ways helping with course selections, monitoring progress in classes, or just checking in from time to time to make sure things are going well. |
