{Tom Stevens}
Mr. Tom Stevens
To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

Brief Biography
I am a product of independent schools and have known since an early age that I wanted to "run" a school. Little did I know how much more there was to being a head of school, and little did I know how much I would love being a head of school. I am a graduate of Yale University where I majored in history and psychology and Columbia University, Teachers College where I earned an M.A. plus 40 in developmental psychology. I have had the pleasure of teaching, coaching, and administrating at independent schools for the past 37 years.
